Bang The Doldrums

  • Written for Shrek 2
  • FOB were contacted in 2004/5 to write it
  • Directors gave them specific directions on what they wanted the song to be about / sound like
  • FOB ignored this and thought “they don’t know what they want it to sound like”
  • Wrote Bang The Doldrums
  • Shrek producers didn’t like it and therefore didn’t use it because FOB ignored everything they asked
  • Bang The Doldrums was put on Infinity On High
  • Had no lyric adjustments because it was so off-topic for what the Shrek producers wanted it didn’t need changing for personal use

No problem, @imanireo! I always hid behind it myself, as someone who has been diagnosed woth ADHD, and never really told many people because they have this horrible thought that ADHD isn’t real or that it’s fake and it’s not. To see that Patrick has it and is comfortable talking about it makes me happy! And it’s good because I’m some interviews you can see him drift off a little and that’s normal! I’m glad this this helped someone else!
